All that glitters is not gold, we can adapt this saying to everything on our society. Today we are going to talk about two topics that nowadays are very important.
We, as future english teachers, have to be very cautious about what happens with our class and with the students it is formed. Currently it is very common that not all students are as happy as they seem to be in class, and going to class is for them like going to hell. We are talking about bullying.
As we can see on the video
we attached on the word, bullying is such a real thing that happens pretty much
in all schools and that affects the life of a lot of students.
Being bullied is a
situation a lot of students suffer. Don’t be accepted on your class and having
to deal with comments and actions that just harass you day by day makes school
for them a hell.
This is a situation we, as
teachers, have to control and eradicate in our school, as it is a major
problem.
On the video we post, it
describes a situation of a little girl that is being bullied. It describes the
horrendous situation she is living without anything she can do to stop it.
We have to be the ones who eradicate
these actions helping bullied students to pass this difficult time by supporting
them.
The other topic that we are going to talk about is the dependence that we have with our mobile phone, because phones have been such a huge improvement in our society, making everyone connected every time, but, not everything that glitters is gold.
Nowadays, everyone in our society, since we are kids, has a mobile phone where he is connected to the internet, use social media, play games etc. The variety of things, opportunities and hobbies that we have with the mobile phone is immense, but with a wrong use of it it can be devastated, the mobile phone could become your life.
On the video we have presented, "Don´t be that guy", we have a typical example of a student that is hooked to the mobile phone and he is the whole day with it, is whole life is his phone. This is a huge problem as people are immerse on a virtual reality putting aside his real life.
The people who is part of his real life has to do something about that huge problem and make the people who are that hooked to realize that their whole life is the phone, and that he should try to use less the phone and enjoy his real life, because there is just one real life.
